I lied today…

I was being interrogated in the London airport. It is a norm for all the immigration officers to “question” us about our motive for visiting London. Then he asked me why am I here, and I said I’m doing a backpacking. Then he asked to see my travel plans and I showed him. He then asked me what was my occupation, and I told him I just came out from University. And so the big question, how did I get all the money to travel? Naturally, if I say that I earned them, he wouldn’t believe it, and from what he see in my passport with all those stamps from so many country, and I started since august, one could only ask if this guy is up to any no good. I told him that my parents are paying for me, and I’m a partial traveling grant. How on earth am I supposed to prove to him that I was being able to sustain myself for the amount of time that I’m traveling? Simply no way. I mean, even I find it hard to believe someone traveling around so long…the skin colour doesn’t help anyway, especially if the someone is an Asian. Sigh…
