Teothihuacan, Mexico

Out of the top 3 biggest pyramids, 2 is in Mexico, and I have someone asking me where is the other one. And I went to the one which is the 3rd biggest pyramid in the world. It is at Teothihuacan, about an hour plus drive from Mexico City.
I allwaiz have the impression that pyramids are made of very very big bricks. And there are lotsa tunnels under the pyramids with many treasures. Unfortunately, it is not the one that i saw here. It is made from sand, dirt and clay. Overall, it looks like a molehill of sand and dirt. Quite impressive.
They say that it is made by giants for the king. And the top of the pyramids is used for sacrificial ceremonies. And the best part is after every flight of stairs, i see people panting away. There is a trick as to how to climb those kinda staires. You have to walk up diagonally and when you come down, it is suppose to be in the same way, so as to reduce effort and increase safety. How apt....

This place have 2 big pyramids, one is the pyramid of the sun and the other is pyramid of the moon, which is divided by a passage of death. Surrounding the two big pyramids, there are many small one, and it is also rumoured that there are more pyramids in that region which is not uncovered.
The weather was so good, with good sun plus cooling. However, this turns bad as you will not even know when you get burnt, and this is what happen to me. :(
Teothihuacan reminds me of the lost ruins in Cambodia, the Ang Kor Wat. The feeling is so similar. Everything is so perfect, so natural, so magnificant, except for the hawkers who are desperately trying to sell you stuff and the Tourists. They totally ruin the place. Ok, not to mention that I'm a tourist too, but their objective is to go there and take photo and there are so much vandalism done to the pyramids, sigh....
