Lyon, France
Lyon in english means Lion. It was kinda urbanised city, which if you asked me, is worth to give it a miss. But the host that we had was simply first class. We have french food for every meal for our 3 days in Lyon. We had Gratin Dauphinois (Beef Stewed), Boeuf Bourguignon (Chocolate Moouse), Quenelles (some kinda baked cheese) and ratatouille (Mixed and baked vegetables).
Remember the show of the french rat, and yesh, I ate the dish of its name. This is Ra-ta-tou-ille...
The new Lyon is quite boring, but the old Lyon is quite mesmerizing. It just bring you back to ancient times. The streets are nicely decorated with nice paintings at every street corner.
On the highest point of Lyon, there is a basilica of Notre Dame. This is a picture of the church of notre dame.
We even got a chance to see la revolution...protest from nurses all over lyon because they are under staffs and under paid....how I wish such protest takes place in Singapore. At least the voices are being heard instead of storing in oneself and act as if we are really living peacefully, what crap. Like I say, this is our first class host. Lionel and Stephanie. :)
