Copenhagen, Denmark

Was hosted by Stephen whom I knew in couch surfing. He offers Tiann and myself a L-shaped couch. Not that bad for good sleeping, and nice place to live in. The only bad thing happens to be the smoke stench in his place. My shirt is full of cigarette smell now. =(
Reality aside, finally found a place which is more X than Sweden, and I thought Sweden was X. A normal and decent meal cost around 30SGD man, regardless of how hard we find. Probably the only cheap food is pizza which is around 10SGD for a size medium size one, this sounds a better buy. The average starting pay for any graduate is around 8K SGD, so much more than London, UK. Now, I’m so willing to slave in Denmark before returning back to Singapore. Even though the tax is 40%, but u still get around 5K SGD. That is still like above Singapore standard. Way to go….

Copenhagen is ridiculously accessible, and train/bus comes very frequent, so getting around is definitely not something to worry about (but of coz, if u chooses to walk, is rather accessible too. Practically all the places of interests are within walking distant).
Walked around the town non-stop for two days, it is really amazing at the medieval-styled houses. Just walking is good enough to make you feel happy to see the things around. The walked to The Little Mermaid is… you got to try it to know if it is worth it. Lol.
Was so lucky to be able coincide our trip with the 200 years anniversary when the British invaded the Danish. There is some kinda reenactment of what happen 200 years ago. The “soldiers” are all dressed in the olden colonial style. Damn cool lah….
Another interesting place to note is Christianshavn, which is a free town. With no government intervention, everything was run by youth of the past, which means now they are actually quite old. Like what I have mentioned, it is “interesting”, in a sense that there are really a lot of so called bohemian style stuff and houseboats on the canals, the people looked as if there are all punks, and almost everyone are in their teens. Is just like a place for the ah bengs n lians.
Guess who I saw here....Cake and gang...
Next stop, France…
