Rennes, France
We reached there when France lost to England to the Rugby world cup. The French/fans very not really disappointed, but they still carry on with their partying, though not as lively as they should be, but the next day, everybody seem to appear like nothing happened. For the week when they beat the All Blacks, the news lasted for a week, and when they lost, things just remained as status quo. French are really complicated...or are they too full of ego and pride?
Rennes is a student town and we stayed in a house that is well above the bars, something like staying in Clark Quay. Was kinda interesting how we can watch the rugby match from the balcony and still feel the atmosphere that we are partying.
We were supposed to stay with Aurelie, but something happened. Nevertheless, we still end up at her place for a wonderful dinner. Her flatmates are absolutely brillant and lovable. Aurelie with her flatmate Francesca.
Faelan who was our host have to answer to an SOS call from his family so he have no time to host us. So Anne (his flatmate) took on the job of hosting us. We were woken up with a delightful french breakfast which I think was like one of my best french breakfast. It was so good, and I simply love it.
After which, met up with Vincent whom I think I will meet again in the near future. Either in Barcelona or Paris.
This marks the end of my French trip and will return for my Paris league during Christmas. I realized that I wouldn't mind living in France for long term, and their lifestyle is something that is too posh to even imagined. My greatest take away are all the French food, wines, parties, and learning French. The cultural sites are really nice, and tourist friendly. I would never hesitate at the prospect of going back to France again
